Toddlerwearing ;-)
When Nora was a baby we used to carry her a lot. Nowadays she walks, and runs :-) But sometimes she wants to be carried in a wrap, but only for a few minutes. (The wrap is one I sell in my shop, it's a LennyLamb in bamboo/cotton.)

Podaegi - Korean baby carrier
Now I'll show you a different kind of baby carrier, the Korean podaegi.
This is my version of a podaegi, but it can look in many different ways (it can be wide, or it can be narrow, like mine). What all podaegis have in common is that there is no waist strap, instead there's more fabric behind the baby's back than in a mei tai and by crossing the shoulder straps under the baby's bottom a little "pouch" is created in which the baby sit securely. (Below you can see one example on how to use it. The youtube-video is in Norweigan, but there are plenty of videos in English on youtube if you prefer that.)

What I love: sewing mei tai and wrap
Do you know what I love? I love creating things that people actually use, that make their life easier, and that make children and parents closer to each other.
A simple black baby wrap (new owners on the photo).
This mei tai (below) is a hybrid (buckle waist band). It's acutally deep purple, but the light was too strong and I didn't notice until I looked at the pictures late in the evening.

Babywearing, five minutes
Good morning :-) I hope you had a nice weekend. I had (at least Sunday; Saturday I was a bit too stressed).
When Nora was a baby and until she learnt not only how to walk, but how to run, I used to carry her. Tummy to tummy when she was little, later on my back. Nowadays she walks herself a lot and if I carry her it's in my arms and for short moments when she needs a little break.
The other day I finished a baby carrier and when Magnus took some photos of me with the carrier (carrying a doll) she suddenly wanted me to carry her. I didn't let her sit in the new carrier, but instead suggested an old mei tai I made long ago (well, maybe not "long", but a year or more). She agreed and I carried her like this for five minutes. It was very cosy :-) I snapped this photo in the mirror. Earlier the same day she played with her face crayons and continued onto the mirror.
